Halloween Chocolate Pudding Cake: A Rich, Spooky Delight

If you're searching for the perfect Halloween chocolate pudding cake to wow your friends and family, this recipe is just the thing!

These spooky chocolate treats are rich, decadent, and so indulgent that they practically melt in your mouth.

The best part? They’re egg-free, so everyone can enjoy this treat at your Halloween gathering.

Simple Ingredients with a Halloween Twist

This Halloween chocolate pudding cake recipe uses basic ingredients you probably already have, like butter, flour, and dark chocolate.

For a yummy and festive twist, add some orange or black sprinkles on top for a spooky effect that also pops. Y

ou could even mix in Halloween-themed chocolate chips or a dash of pumpkin spice to give these pudding cakes a extra pinch of seasonal flavor.

Customize Your Halloween Chocolate Pudding Cake

One of the best things about this recipe is how easy it is to customize. Want a richer flavor? Try using brown butter instead of regular butter, which will add a nutty, deep flavor.

Although I WOULD say these are a very rich pudding because of them cream used in the recipe!

For an extra fun spooky touch, you could fold in chocolate chunks or Halloween-themed candies, like mini chocolate bats or pumpkin-shaped chocolates.

For a vegan version of this Halloween chocolate pudding cake, swap out the butter for a plant-based option and replace the milk and cream with almond or oat milk and a vegan cream replacement like cashew cream or coconut cream.

You still need the fat content that you get from the cream, that’s why you can’t just use only almond milk or oat milk, as it would likely make the cake texture more dry and dense (not ideal in a pudding cake!).

These changes still keep the pudding cakes creamy and flavorful while making them perfect for everyone at your Halloween party.

This is also a large-batch pudding cake recipe, and I do not have that many pudding cups. So, instead, I use just a muffin tray and flip them over to serve.

This recipe would be amazing if you made it into one large pudding but I think getting your own pudding is a little special!

Tips for my Halloween chocolate pudding cakes:

  • The vinegar and baking soda will fizz up so pick your bowl wisely and don’t mix them ahead of time.

  • Milk and cream should be room temperature.

Enjoy! Paige x
