Ferrero Rocher Cookies
When I think of Christmas I think of Ferrero Rochers! A looooong time ago as a child I remember our family giving and receiving Ferrero Rochers every year. I usually only eat them at Christmas time and it’s a family tradition that I’ve carried through to my own family now. I always buy a box for myself (and my dad!) just in case I don’t get given any. Wish I was kidding.
These Ferrero Rocher cookies are so tempting, delicious, and easy to make! I’ve tried making many different variations of this cookie and this one is the best way to get the chocolate hazelnut flavor of Ferrero Rochers with every mouthful.
To do this I’ve created a Ferrero Rocher stuffed cookie recipe, I found this was the best way to use the chocolates without being wasteful.
You could make these as a special gift for a loved one or a housing warming treat, I would place them in a clear bag and then tie the top with gold ribbon.
I really love the idea of incorporating a family tradition into a cookie or a baked treat. It adds this fun, heartwarming creative feeling to the experience and makes it more of a memorable cook or baked goodie.
While this recipe is for cookies there are plenty of other delicious ways to use up these chocolates treats, I think a Ferrero Rocher brownie or pie would be so incredible! Maybe I should try one!
Tips for baking Ferror Rocher cookies:
Chill the Ferrero Rochers in the fridge before you make this recipe! They have a lush very soft chocolate filling and it’s a lot easier to chop & stuff once cold.
You don’t have to chill the cookies in the fridge but they will hold their shape a little better & it always improves the taste. I always put in the shortest possible time because I lack patience & I’m time poor, just like all of you!
