This is a small batch caramel sauce made from only 3 ingredients! Brown sugar, butter, and cream.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soft brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup cold salted butter
  • 1/4 cup cream

Instructions

  1. In a small pot add sugar, butter, and cream.
  2. Place pot onto a low - medium heat. Stirring, heat the sauce for 2 - 3 minutes. The sugar & butter should have dissolved at this point.
  3. Continue cooking the caramel sauce until it boils (do not increase the heat), stirring continuously.
  4. Once caramel sauce is boiling, cook for another 30 - 60 seconds (still stirring!). Turn off the heat, if the sauce is still bubbling stir it for another 30 seconds.
  5. Wait a couple of minutes for sauce to cool slightly. Transfer to an airtight & sterile container.
  6. Store in the fridge for approximately 5 - 7 days.
