My Italian Salami Subway Sandwich recipe is a super quick delicious lunch fix! This delicious sandwich recipe is a take on the classic and certainly iconic Italian Subway sandwich.

This Italian Salami Subway Sandwich recipe is a heck of a lot cheaper than eating out! Don’t get me wrong, I love to dine out but it can get really expensive sometimes.

Also, a pet peeve of mine is when you pay for a meal that you could have made better yourself at home…it defeats the purpose of eating out.

Same as when you fork out money to stay at a hotel and it turns out your house is nicer. What a treat.

The great thing about making your own at home is you can control the amount of sugar that goes into it.

I actually recently heard from my husband that in Ireland they consider Subway bread a confectionery because of the amount of sugar in it! Crazy!

Tips for making a Italian Salami Subway Sandwich

  • Below I have included a homemade herb mayonnaise recipe, do not be afraid of making your own mayonnaise. It’s really easy and quick when you get comfortable with it, plus it’s a lot more figure friendly than store bought. I used chives, sage, and parsley but any herbs you have will be great. Dill, basil, garlic chives, mint. They are all tasty and amazing in a homemade mayonnaise.

  • Well I love arugula but a romaine lettuce or iceburg lettuce is more like the greens they use at Subway. The higher water content will in the lettuce gives it the fresh crunchy taste.
